We have cancelled the April roll up and medal due to be held at South Bucks due to vandalism of the greens, the roll up and medal will now be held at Richings Park on the same date, 15th April. If you had your name down for the event would you please add it to the new event via the website.
Test Valley Day Meeting results
A new course to start the 2025 golfing year, weather was dry but cold which meant the fairways and greens were hard, with a considerable amount of work going on around the course we played of a number of temporary tees, plus mats, but this did not stop a number of good scores being recorded. The winner of the Ian Foster trophy was Steve Blackwell with 38 points, in second place was Jeff Brister with 37 points and in third place was Stan Knollman with 36 points. The presentation of prizes was conducted by Roger Woof who was standing in for Steve Viney. Full results and photos can be found on the website.
Results from Xmas Bash at Royal Ascot GC
Well it was back to usual at Royal Ascot, after a frozen course one year, course work another year, this year it was the aftermath of Storm Darragh which meant the course was a bit wet and muddy, but that didn't stop 25 of us starting on a cold day. Well we started with a full English breakfast which is the only way start golf, mince pies on the 10th (even the crows appeared to like them) and after golf a Christmas dinner including prize giving. The winner with an excellent 36 points was Greg Lowe, in 2nd place was Manjit Bains with 35 points and in 3rd place on count back with 30 points Jeff Brister. BA Singles Knockout Winner - Surinder Kalsi
Malcolm Coleman and Surinder Kalsi contested the Knockout final on Fri, 8th November at Mill Ride. The course was in fine condition, and the match was nip and tuck for the front nine. Surinder took advantage of his 10 shots by going 4 up after 14 but Malcolm pulled 2 back to make it a nervous finish for the now four time winner Surinder.
October Monthly Medal Results

Leatherhead Day Meeting Results
A long awaited return after 8 years away to an old style and well established course in the Surrey hills. Tight and often narrow fairways required accurate rather than long drives, which coupled with very damp conditions under foot saw a challenging day for many. Much credit must go to the green staff for managing to reopen it in time for our visit. Fortunately mild temperatures with little wind allowed many of the members to accept the challenge and score well. The winner Joe Tiwana amassing a very creditable 39 points, closely followed by Steve Collier on 37 in second place and in third place on count back was Colin Griffiths with 35 points. Strawberry Hill match result
Our annual match against Strawberry Hill ladies was yet again a very close win for BAGS. The match was in a format which after much discussion amongst the BAGS members we got our head around, basic for four ball better ball then stableford points for each group were added to decide the overall result, you got it? The result was BAGS 227 - SH 201, the last two groups managed to finish in the dark on a pleasant autumn day, following the match the ladies laid on an excellent curry and treacle sponge desert plus of course drinks!! The result after a wet week of golf was that BAGS retained the trophy winning 17½ to 9½. A detail report and individual score available on website
BA Golf - Pairs Knockout Final result
John de Rebello & Rod Wesson have won the inaugural pairs knockout competition. they won 5 & 3 over Clive & John Jones at Thorney Park on 7th October. See Report.
