BA Golf News

Old Thorns - April Day Meeting
Our two day meeting took place at Old Thorns GC. The weather was kind to us with two dry days and reasonable temperatures.

We had 27 members taking part and I think we all found the course challenging, with very quick and subtle greens.

Despite this we did return some reasonable scores, the overall winner was Chris Walker with 62 points, well done to all those who were successful.

The knockout selection was made and announced by David and we ask that these are arranged to be played as soon as is possible.

Weybrook Park - March Day Meeting
It was a return to Weybrook Park on a bright sunny and sometimes warm day, after an excellent breakfast we all set off on the first day meeting for 2026.

There some good scores coming in with Surinder Bahra winning on count back with 36 points, in second place was Steve McDonald and in third place was Chris Walker with 35 points.

Xmas Bash at Royal Ascot
Well it was back to Royal Ascot for our final event of 2025, the course was in good condition after the recent rain, there had been a considerable amount of work completed on the course since our last visit 2024.

Well we started with a full English breakfast and after golf a excellent Christmas dinner including prize giving.

The winner with 37 points was Jeff Brister, in 2nd place was Prince Chambers with 36 points and in 3rd place on count back with 35 points Danny Clark.
